The Muster Grounds interpret the 1780 gathering of Overmountain Men before the march to Kings Mountain. Living history, waymarked trails, and a visitor center explain the campaign’s role in the Southern theater of the Revolution.
The site is a short drive from downtown Abingdon; combine it with the Virginia Creeper Trail or a loop through the historic district.
