Historic White’s Mill
White’s Mill is a Virginia Historic Landmark and National Register property operated by a nonprofit foundation. The mill dates to the 1790s and still interprets traditional milling; visitors can tour, shop stone-ground meal and grits, and browse regional artisan goods when the site is open.
The foundation publishes a seasonal schedule (typically spring through fall weekends). Always confirm open days before you drive—the mill is a few miles outside downtown Abingdon.
